♥ EDITED/ IS HUMOUR IMPORTANT.
/edited.
topic:
is humour important? :D
Everyone is born to laugh. It is in our innate nature to smile when we come across happy things, and to laugh when our hearts overbrim with joy.
Through our growing years, the frequency of smiling and laughing becomes minimal as negativities like conflicts and stress gradually play an increasing role in our lives. Together with our maturity in thinking and the knowledge acquired, the source where we obtain humour is limited- we are less easily humored by the things around us. Children giggle and laugh at every brainless jokes, and enjoy watching clowns, circus and animated mr.bean, and as we grow older, humour becomes selective and "lame" stuff enjoyed by children are usually not entertained by adults. The ability to be humoured gets lesser, and we become less healthy physically as the stress, pain and unhappiness from conflicts build up. Eventually, both the mind and the body suffers.
Laughter is the powerful antidote to the stress, pain and a saviour to the malnourished spirit. Allowing ourselves to be easily humored and to enjoy the humor and be able to laugh our hearts out is a release of the bad feelings trapped within us. The endorpines produced can also greatly reduce our stress level. Moreover, laughter being contagious, can influence and affect the people around us. The laughter shared can help bring people closer together, and hence allows us to make more friends and build a harmonious relationship with others.
Humour is important for it helps take us through the routined life. It is in fact humour that takes us through the long and tedious day in school, bombarded with long lectures, tutorials and the stacks of revision booklets and practice papers. An occassional joke cracked by the teacher in class can make a vast difference to the subsequent lesson time, and the laughter generated can create a lively learning atmosphere where students would participate actively in. In the adults' working environment, a little humour present can lighten the stress inherited from the fast-paced working model of the 21st century. Work will seem alot less mundane, and productivity will be boosted.
As such, humour is a character very much appreciated by the society. Not only does humour allows you to be humourous and hence brings joy and laughter to everyone, it can also bring peace to one's inner self. It allows one to take things with a pinch of salt by finding humour in their own thinking. This makes survival easier given the many adverse situation that we would face in our life time.
Humour is the healing potion which helps us to surmount problems, enhance our relationships with others, and support us in both physical and emotional health. Its presence is a neccessity to walk life with a lighter footstep, and to keep us looking forward to the next day. Undoubtly, humour is important.
♥ peace.
if only humour is that easily achievable. To take things lightly with a pinch of salt, hard uh..
